Orthopaedist
Graduate of the Medical University of Gdańsk. Michał Borys also studied at the University of Cologne in Germany, where he received his doctorate in medicine in 2012, and in Sankt Gallen, Switzerland. In addition, he completed postgraduate studies in Clinical Psychology at the Medical University of Gdansk. Specialist in orthopaedics and traumatology of the locomotor system.
Michał Borys gained his professional experience in the field of orthopaedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system while working as a resident in the Department of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, in the Hospital Emergency Department of the Copernicus Hospital in Gdańsk and during numerous internships in Poland and abroad. He has been working at Rehasport in Gdansk since 2012.
His professional interests are mainly focused on sports orthopaedics and the use of modern, minimally invasive techniques for treating the effects of injuries within the musculoskeletal system. Michał Borys continues to improve his skills through regular training and participation in numerous internships at sports orthopaedic clinics, including in London, Munich, Berlin and Cologne. In 2018, from the hands of Prof. Marcus Scheibel at the Regensburg Conference received a scholarship from the German Society for Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, which enabled him to complete an internship programme at German sports orthopaedic clinics. Certified doctor of the Polish Football Association. He works on an ongoing basis with several sports clubs.
In addition, the orthopaedist from Gdańsk, Michał Borys, deals with the treatment of degenerative diseases of the joints and spine. In his practice he uses both surgical methods, including minimally invasive arthroscopic techniques, and modern conservative treatment.
