Rehasport Wrocław
The idea of establishing a modern medical facility inspired by the vision of Professor Wiktor Dega, the founder of the Polish school of orthopedics, was born in the early 21st century. By the end of 2004, the first patient crossed the threshold of Rehasport’s clinic on Różana Street in Poznań.
Professor Dega’s vision, which emphasized collaboration between doctors and rehabilitation specialists as essential for effective treatment, quickly gained the trust and appreciation of patients.
Today, Rehasport operates state-of-the-art medical centers in Poznań, Warsaw, Gdańsk, and Konin, as well as a network of over 100 Licensed Rehabilitation Centers across Poland. On September 2nd, another facility joined the network, located at Rakietowa 38 in Wrocław.
Dr. Witold Dudziński: Growth Across All Fronts
“We are fulfilling our dreams, which drove us into action nearly 25 years ago—not just to help patients but to do so following the most advanced global standards, using state-of-the-art equipment. I am proud of the entire Rehasport team because we are growing in every possible field. Opening this center in Wrocław is further proof of that,” said Dr. Witold Dudziński, MD, PhD, President of Rehasport.
Arystofanes Bąk: A Shared Vision in One Place
Rehasport’s establishment in Wrocław is the result of years of cooperation with BMK Rehabilitation Center, which earned its Rehasport Licensed Rehabilitation Center certification in 2015.
“We are joining forces, and the results will be visible at Rakietowa 38 in Wrocław,” said Arystofanes Bąk, CEO of BMK Sp. z o.o.
“BMK Rehabilitation Center has been collaborating with Rehasport’s physicians for 20 years, continually evolving. The new orthopedic center in Wrocław is a testament to our efforts to bring together orthopedists, radiologists, diagnosticians, and physiotherapists under one roof. This comprehensive synergy will offer patients access to Rehasport’s full range of services,” he added.
Aleksander Kucza PT, KEOMT: A Long-Standing Collaboration
Aleksander Kucza, leader of BMK Rehabilitation Center’s physiotherapy team, reflected on the partnership’s beginnings:
“Over 20 years ago, Dr. Tomek Piontek called our center regarding post-operative rehabilitation for a football player after ACL reconstruction. We swiftly discussed functional therapy focusing on knee extension—a groundbreaking approach in Wrocław at the time. That conversation marked the start of our collaboration. As a teacher and instructor in Kaltenborn-Evjenth orthopedic manual therapy, I am proud to bring a well-trained team of physiotherapists into the Rehasport family in Wrocław.”
Dr. Jakub Stefaniak: Standards of Excellence
Dr. Jakub Stefaniak, MD, PhD, will serve as Medical Director of Rehasport Wrocław. With extensive practical experience, he also serves as Chief Physician of the Polish Tennis Association’s national team.
“I enjoy challenges, and this role is certainly one. I can assure you that Rehasport Wrocław will uphold the highest standards of care, consistent with the level patients expect from our other facilities,” he said.
Initially, Rehasport Wrocław will offer physiotherapy services, with plans to expand soon to include diagnostics (X-ray and MRI) and medical consultations.
Poland’s First FIFA-Certified Center of Excellence
Rehasport’s team includes orthopedists, radiologists, sports medicine physicians, surgeons, internists, physiotherapists, strength and conditioning coaches, biomechanists, psychologists, dietitians, and sports managers.
Rehasport was the first facility in Poland to receive FIFA’s highest certification, the FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence.
The clinic is an official medical partner for eight Polish sports associations, including the Polish Handball Federation, Polish Tennis Association, Polish Sailing Association, Polish Rowing Association, and Polish Canoe Federation, as well as team sports clubs.
Rehasport supports world championship and Olympic medalists, with seven staff members assisting Polish athletes during the Paris Olympics.
