A Longstanding Partnership
The collaboration between Rehasport, a renowned Polish medical clinic, and the Polish Handball Association began in July 2013. Over the years, national team players across all age categories have benefited from the clinic's support. The current agreement, set to expire this year, has been renewed for another four years, extending the partnership through 2028.
Signatories to the agreement included ZPRP President Henryk Szczepański, ZPRP Vice President Professor Bogdan Sojkin, and Rehasport President Dr. Witold Dudziński, MD, PhD.
Notably, the new agreement extends beyond previous parameters to include students from Sports Championship Schools managed by ZPRP.
ZPRP President Henryk Szczepański: Athlete Health is Our Priority
“I am very pleased that our long-standing partnership with Rehasport will continue. We understand that professional sports, unfortunately, come with the risk of injuries, especially in such a dynamic and contact-intensive discipline as handball. This is why the safety and health of our athletes is a top priority, as reflected in this new agreement,” said ZPRP President Henryk Szczepański.
“Under this agreement, Rehasport will continue to support Polish national team coaching staff in medical care, both in preventive and rehabilitative capacities. Rehasport’s specialists have consistently demonstrated their professionalism over the years, earning the trust of Poland’s players and delivering successful treatments and quick recoveries,” he added.
Rehasport President Dr. Witold Dudziński: A Shared Vision
“We placed our trust in each other more than 11 years ago, and over this time, we’ve built a strong understanding of how this collaboration should function—not only during major sports events but in daily training and development. We share a vision for professional sports and using medical advancements to enhance training systems,” said Dr. Witold Dudziński, MD, PhD.
“Our dream is to see future stars of Polish handball emerge—successors to Karol Bielecki, the Lijewski brothers, the Jurecki brothers, and Sławomir Szmal, as well as Iwona Niedźwiedź and Kinga Achruk. This is why we are so committed to supporting young handball players in Sports Championship Schools. Through this partnership, even junior athletes will have access to top-tier medical expertise,” he added.
